R You C-ing This? ( Bluetooth RC Car, I'll come up w/ a better pun later)

This robot is a small 2 wheeled / caster platform controlled by Arduino and Bluetooth from a phone.

Current Project Status:

3/19/18- At the moment, we're working on figuring out how to use the motor control we have rather than the one in the instructions, therefore leaving us with no other option than to look for another kind of code that supports the controller.
3/9/18- Today we're working on tweaking/transforming the arduino code for our car so that it's no longer controlled by a remote of a breadboard, but instead by Bluetooth (connected to a phone)
3/1/18- We're mostly working on our slides for the presentation, but we decided to transform our project from an RC breadboard-controlled car to a Bluetooth controlled car, which we will connect to our phone to use as a remote.
2/28/18- Today we're working on creating the breadboard controller for the RC car
2/27/18- We finally got the arduino code up and running! The code allows the motors to move the wheels of the car, although randomly. At least it works.
2/14/2018- Still working on the frame due to a few difficulties with the spacers and screws
2/9/2018 - We're currently working on creating the frame of the RC car, along with soldering the wires that connect the power and the ground to our power supply.
1/19/2018 - Kicked off this project.  Initial platform was from a... and  controlled by...

Next Steps:

List all the current steps in order of priority. Mark "Pending", "In Progress", "Road Block", "Done"
  1. Finish fixing the frame of the car Done
  2. Finish the "power harness" Pending
  3. Hook up the power harness to the frame of the Car Done
  4. test the motors Done
  5. Pick a code In progress
  6. apply the coding In progress
  7. Test the coded outcome Pending (Extra steps added here)
  8. Edit the coding to actually move on command, and not randomly. Pending
  9. Connect the BT Module to the Car In progress
  10. Establish a connection via bluetooth from the phone to the BT Module In progress
  11. Find code that fits and functions with out motor controller. Pending

Mechanical Configuration:

This section describes the Physical / Mechanical configuration of the platform... How does it work from a hardware point of view.

  1. Wonderful blog! Do you have any tips and hints for aspiring writers? Because I’m going to start my website soon, but I’m a little lost on everything. Many thanks! Wltoys RC
