Couch Potato 2/14/18 - Following Up With The Code

Coding the Joystick Continued...

The Couch Potato team continued to work on with coding the joystick, learning how it works, and building code so that when we eventually connect the joystick, we will be able to control the motors and make our couch move.

Team Members - What We Did Today

What Steps Did We Solve:

       1. We successfully figured out how to connect and run the Joystick using an Arduino Uno.

Next Steps:

  1. Test Motors - Complete - We tested the motors and they works perfectly. Now we need to find a way to connect the motors to the frame.
  2. Plan frame - In Process - We have designed how our Couch Potato will look like using tinkercad, having the welding team create the frame for us . The coding team are coding the controls for the motors to move and how it would turn.
  3. Motor Controller - In ProcessThe coding team are coding the controls for the motors for how our project will move and how it would turn.
  4. Joystick - In Process- We had trouble using the Raspberry Pi since there are no analog pins, so we're switching over to the Arduino.
  5. Build the Frame - Not Started - We are still in the process of designing the frame. Once that is complete, we can ask for the welding class' assistance in building a sturdy frame for our couch.
