Toy Boat with DC Motor and Arduino



TOY BOAT WITH DC MOTOR AND ARDUINO

SUMMARY

       We will be creating a toy boat with an AC motor and an Arduino. The motor will be
used to give the boat the power to run, and the Arduino will give the boat directions to
which take from left to right. It will have batteries connected to the AC motor and an
       on/off switch.The boat can be place in water to be able to run.


MATERIALS NEEDED
  • One inch thermocol sheet ($5-$10)          
  • 4 wires ($5-48)          
  • 3v Toy DC Motor ($1-$5)
  • 2 Small rocker switch ($4-$6)                              
  • 2 Propellers      
  • Glue ($5)
  • Arduino ($20-$30)
  • 2 little plastic bottles ($2-$5)
  • Wood or plastic to glue on top of sheet($5)
  • Zip Ties($5-$10)

STEPS
  1. Make a triangle at the top of the thermocol sheet and at the bottom in the middle a small rectangle facing up.
  2. Cut Bottle cap sides at least 6 places and ice cream sticks at least six 4 cm pieces, then put silicon on the tips
  3. Glue gun and DC Motor with the cap
  4. Glue gun and the Arduino
  5. Battery holder, DC motor, and the rocker switch
